We had a wonderful time here! We came because my child’s friend wanted to visit, and we’re so glad we did. Everyone had a blast making mochi. At first, I was worried because my kids aren’t big fans of mochi, and I wasn’t sure what they’d do after making it. But to my surprise, they ended up eating a ton! They said, “It was so fun to make, super fresh, and there were so many flavors” (they especially loved the cocoa). That’s why they couldn’t stop eating! Even during festivals, you can’t get fresh mochi like this. I highly recommend it!

It was a fun activity to have with your family! My boys not only tried the mochi pounding experience but also loved tasting the mochi afterwards with various dippings and toppings(soy sauce with seaweed got their votes the most! vs kinako my personal favorite:))Very convenient location just right next to the river(relaxing atmosphere) and the busy shopping/resturant areas. It’s perfect if you want to create memories spending some fun time with your kids and family, or just need a break from all the crazy shopping ;) Fun Japanese cultural experience, highly recommended!

★★★★★ A Fun and Unique Mochitsuki Experience for the Whole Family!I joined this traditional Japanese mochitsuki (rice cake pounding) experience with my 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter, and we all had an amazing time! The staff was very kind and guided us through the process, making it easy even for young children to try pounding the rice with the wooden mallet. The freshly made mochi was soft and delicious! We got to try classic flavors like kinako (roasted soybean flour), anko (sweet red bean paste), mitarashi soy sauce, and roasted seaweed. But what surprised us was the unique and creative flavors—cocoa and fresh cream! My 2-year-old daughter especially loved the mochi with fresh cream, while my son was a big fan of the cocoa mochi. It was a wonderful experience that combined Japanese tradition with new flavors, making it both educational and fun. We had a fantastic time as a family, and I highly recommend this experience to anyone, especially those with young children. We’d love to come back again!
